Really strange, I can't see comcast blocking port 443 access. I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong, because I've had this setup before a couple years ago and I'm able to setup other port forwards. Just stumping me, let me know what you guys think!
Ports blocked on Comcast's network - Comcast Business
No By default most routers/firewalls block all inbound connections but you can manually open a port and forward it to a local IP address. Comcast does not block port 80 for inbound or outbound connections for their subscribers.
Using a unix utility called hping2 I determined that 157.238.179.102 (vl-100.a00.miamfl02.us.ce.verio.net) is blocking port 1433 and 1434. So it's not Comcast, it's verio who is blocking the ports.
I'm able to port forward ports like 22 and 81, just not able to access 443 and 1194. Really strange, I can't see comcast blocking port 443 access.
